Monel 400 has excellent mechanical properties at subzero temperatures, can withstand temperatures of up to 1000 ° F, and has a melting point of 2370–2460 ° F. Because of the addition of molybdenum and slightly higher nickel content, these Monel 400 H-Beams are more durable. At low temperatures and concentrations, it has some resistance to hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, but it is rarely the material of choice for these acids.
